Trade fair for architecture, materials, systems
BAU 2023 in Munich made a triumphant comeback after a four-year break due to the pandemic. The trade fair company draws an extremely positive conclusion and refers to the fully booked stands, the massive number of visitors of 190,000 as well as the international orientation and satisfaction of visitors and exhibitors.
The all-round supplier Süd-Metall Beschläge GmbH from Bavaria successfully performed and achieved an excellent result: it achieved its goal of further expanding its role as a premium supplier of locks and fittings. There was great demand thanks to the attractive exhibition stands in Halls B2 (metal construction) and C4 ( fittings and locking systems), as well as a coherent concept and an open exhibition area with numerous products related to fittings, locking systems and metal and glass construction. The company was able to score points with visitors with great new products and innovations as well as with its proven product ranges. Visitors were able to convince themselves of the quality and design of the products on site and receive advice from the company’s experts.
In addition to the presentation of new products, the focus of the trade fair presence was also on personal exchanges with customers and business partners. “The construction trade fair in Munich is an important platform for us to get in touch with our customers and business partners and to exchange information about current trends and developments in the industry,” says Managing Director Manfred Rettensteiner.

Quadro – simple, timeless, beautiful
Quadro is the latest among Südmetall’s innovative mounting systems. The integrated Top Speed bayonet mounting system enables simple and quick installation and guarantees a perfect fit and hold. The integrated spring support keeps the handle in a perfect 0° position.
Not all black is the same! The hype around dark fittings remains unbroken
It’s the little things that make a big difference in interior design! Fittings in dark colors are more in demand than ever and a real eye-catcher on any door. They convey modern flair, provide a stylish ambience and create a very special room experience. With door handles in the new Südmetall trend colors black steel look, black matt, black matt structure and anthracite structure, it is possible, without too much effort, to create striking accents, emphasize style or create appealing contrasts in combination with other surfaces.
ÜLock Novus, the inconspicuousness makes the difference!
ÜLock Novus is a self-locking electronic lock with cleverly integrated card reader (RFID reader) in the key rosette. The electronics of the lock and RFID reader are housed together in the lock case and can therefore not be manipulated from the outside. The two variants Battery and Inductive are suitable for both new construction and retrofitting without any changes to the existing door. The lever handle models are freely selectable in terms of design and color selection.
